I have currently obtained all of the information I need to create all of my maps. I am currently working on how to best display the map on land use characteristics. This upcoming week I hope to meet with Dr. K and show her what I have so far. Additionally, I will work on adding layers to ArcGIS.com, as well as work on the tutorial for the environmental science lab. Below is a map outlining stream channels and the Kromma Kill Watershed. It also shows where Siena is in relation to the watershed, as well as the site that the Environmental Science class conducts their lab at. The basemap is from ArcGIS.com, and I received all of my data from Rami Alygad, who previously did research on the Kromma Kill Watershed.

This is a great start, Jackie. How about also including a preliminary land use map?

P.S. I mean with land use symbolized by type of land use?
ReplyDeleteThis looks really good, I also think an outline or label of the cities or counties would be helpful as well, to show the reader what area they are looking at, in case they are unfamiliar with the Kromma Kill Watershed
